This banjo is made with a Bubinga neck and figured pre-ban Brazilian rosewood. The Bubinga is so hard that I saw sparks coming off my bandsaw! I had cut out three blanks for use in my workshops. I decided to make one since I sent all mine to "Board a Gourd"! The scale length is 26" and the gourd is about 10.5" The short string terminates at the 6th fret position. I marked the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7th position with gold pearl.
